One Direction poke fun at rivals The Wanted by mocking their music video in Best Song Ever

The band made a sneaky joke at the expense of their rivals by editing the iconic video Walks Like Rihanna.

Just when the playground feud looked settled - with One Direction winning the music awards and The Wanted winning the Twitter arguments – it’s all kicking off again.

One Direction - the soon to be movie stars - have poked fun at their boyband rivals in new single Best Song Ever after mocking themselves up as The Wanted.

The sneaky jibe appears in a new image released alongside the extended teaser of new single BSE (which we can all agree is an unfortunate abbreviation after the mad cow disease got bad press).

A picture taken from The Wanted’s music video Walks Like Rihanna has been mocked up with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne’s faces instead.

It’s unclear what song the lads are yapping about but it’s unlikely going to be anything recorded by rivals The Wanted, that’s for sure.

And anyone selling those awful off-white outfits might need to order more stock - let's just hope the trend doesn't catch on.

Niall Horan Splits with Zoe Whelan

One Direction star Niall Horan is officially single again after splitting from his Irish sweetheart Zoe Whelan.

The 19-year-old had been on-off with the Dublin babe since bringing her to his brother’s wedding in March.

But Niall has now told Zoe, 18, the relationship over – just as her modelling career goes from strength-to-strength.

Zoe has continually refused to chat about their relationship – despite being offered big money for a tell-all interview by publications around the world.

A source said: “It is all over for Niall and Zoe – and it is completely because of his side of things.

“Obviously, it was always going to be hard to have an ongoing relationship when his job has him travelling around so much.

“But there’s been no push from Niall to keep things going at all and has told Zoe it is over by completely blanking her.

“Over the past few weeks her modelling career has become huge, but Niall hasn’t been in contact to say well done. She hasn’t even had a text from him, let alone a call, for nearly two weeks.

“Out of respect to Niall, she refused to say a word to anyone about the relationship – even when there was money on the table to spill the beans as she knew it would be over then.

“But it seems just doing her job is too much for 1D’s people, who appear to have pressured Niall to cut all ties with Zoe. It’s cruel the way he’s done it, and she’s obviously a bit devastated it’s over.”

The singer wants everyone to see his muscles as the boyband remain focused on bulking up and working out.

They spend most of their time on tour , singing a few pop songs, playing computer games and binging on fast food.

So it was only a matter of time before the One Direction lads bucked up their ideas and signed up for gruelling work-out plans.

The boyband have even started a relentless routine with mixed martial arts trainers as they hope to bulk up for the US leg of their Take Me Home tour.

While we are mostly familiar with seeing them dressed like someone has been kicked through Topman covered in sticky tape, Niall Horan was showing off his new found frame.

The Irish hunk , 19, posed topless for a picture in the middle of a gym routine as he straddled the weights machine which focuses on strength of the shoulders and back.

Niall makes no secret of he loves 'having the craic' and 'some pints' with his boys back home when he can squeeze in some time off.

But he will no doubt be enjoying his time off from the UK as the singers travel the world performing for tens of thousands of fans.

The time away from the UK will help the lads focus on their gym training and healthy eating.

Liam Payne, 19, has even been taking protein shakes to help build up even more muscle.

Those One Direction boys have the best job. Not only do they get to play to sell-out arenas across the globe, star in their own movies and get to flit around the US – they even get to muck around at work.

The boy band champions took part in a weird and rather wonderful Skype scavenger hunt on Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The famous fivesome split into two packs: Harry Styles , Liam Payne, Zayn Mailk on one side with Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson on the other.

Both teams were teasingly placed in different dressing rooms before being given crazy challenges by the talk show host.

The challenge came from a fan on Twitter during the live-question portion of the concert, but was one major problem: Liam, Harry, Louis, Niall and Zayn weren't quite sure how to do it. So, they all gathered around Niall onstage, who whipped his phone out to do some research.

Chris Edmonds, chairman of Ticketmaster UK, said at one point 200,000 fans had been left waiting in a “virtual queue”.

He added: “If it had been a real one, it would have stretched from Wembley Stadium round the M25.”

An industry insider said Harry Styles and the rest of the boys were expected to make £14million each from ticket sales and ­merchandise from the Where We Are Tour.

He added: “And this doesn’t take into account album and DVD sales.

“It is going to be yet another very profitable year for One Direction.”

Band member Liam Payne tweeted to fans: “Thank you so much everyone for making our wildest dreams come true.”

They've just had one of these big announcements that get One Direction fans going mental and refreshing their twitter feed every five seconds until their phone overheats - to let them know about the 2014 stadium tour.

And now they've made another one - poor fan's phones - telling us about their new, 100% official book. This afternoon the boys sent girls around the world going mental and digging out their book tokens (can you still get book tokens?), by tweeting: "The announcement is....A NEW BOOK! "WHERE WE ARE, OUR BAND, OUR STORY"

We're guessing the sudden change to capitals is for extra drama. Guys, you don't need it.

They also tweeted a pic of what looks like the book cover, which appears to be called '100% Official 1D Where We are Our Band Our Story' (snappy) and shows the fivesome looking their usual photogenic selves in black and white with a general quiff theme. We're going to rate Harry best (standard), then Louis (we like the denim jacket), followed by Zayn (good face, bad jumper) Liam (okay) and Niall (we just don't get it, sorry).

According to the official info: "This is the only official book from 1D, charting their journey over the last year and a half – from the places they’ve visited and fans they’ve met, to their thoughts and feelings, hopes and dreams, highs and lows. It has been a phenomenal year – and this is a phenomenal story. This Christmas, there will be no other book that true One Direction fans will want!"

Harry was hanging poolside in Barcelona as the boyband are making their way around Europe on their 117-date Take Me Home tour.

The 19-year-old appears to be styling himself on Lux’s dad Tom Atkin’s who’s part of awful indie-rock group The Paddingtons.

It’s not all been sunbathing and swimming pools on tour, though. Cops were called when hundreds of fans bombarded the luxury hotel where 1D were staying in Milan on Sunday night.

 

Armed officers stepped in after hotel security were unable to deal with the huge mob of teenagers desperate to meet their idols.

The boyband were staying in the £400 per night five star Hotel Principe di Savoia but chose to spend time on the tour bus instead of their 19th century themed rooms.

Last week One Direction (SCREAM!) announced their plans to embark on a mammoth stadium tour in 2014 (DOUBLE SCREAM!).

And now they have done something that is likely to make you pee your pants and collapse on the floor with excitement.

The lovely lads have recorded a video message to thank fans for making the Where We Are Tour possible.

Standing in a line and looking generally hot, the boys smile at the camera while Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson deliver a message on behalf of the band.

Pushing air out of his lungs to make his vocal cords vibrate enabling him to speak, Harry says: "Hi guys! We just wanted to send you a quick message to say thank you. We have just announced our stadium tour and we cannot believe it.

 

"We've been together for about three years and it's all down to you guys that we are able to do this so thank you so, so much."

Moving his mouth into action, Louis added: "We can't wait to see you guys all over the world so thank you very much!"

Niall Horan and Liam Payne got into a bit of a tussle on stage in Belgium this evening, fans have reported.
The One Direction stars are playing their latest concert from their Take Me Home tour in Antwerp this evening, after wrapping up their French shows last night and it sounds like their energy levels haven’t dropped one single bit.

In the middle of their gig, fans have revealed on Twitter that Niall Horan and Liam Payne staged a bit of a play fight, mid performance and because he’s a great wee Irish scrapper, of course Nialler won.
As Payne admitted defeat, Niall celebrated by cleaning the stage with his back, before getting back to his singing.

An audience member also revealed that Liam wasn’t just being dragged about on his back, but he also showed fans that he can play both the drums and the piano. @JoyTheJoker tweeted:

One Direction singer Harry Styles is reportedly not dating Kimberly Stewart, according to new reports.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer was spotted having dinner with legendary musician Rod Stewart and his family in Hollywood last week – with claims that the boyband star was dating his daughter.
It has now been reported that the boyband star was seeking advice on his "broken heart" following his split from Taylor Swift earlier this year.
"They were having a real heart-to-heart and didn't seem to mind who in the restaurant their conversation," a source told the publication.
It was also revealed that the singer was told by Rod to play the country star at her own game with his new music. 

One Direction 'Forced To Record Album In Hotel Rooms On 'Take Me Home' Tour'

The boyband are hoping to release the album before Christmas.



One Direction are working around the clock to ensure their next album is completed in time for Christmas with Louis Tomlinson revealing the lads are “shattered” after having to record the record in their hotel rooms while on their current 'Take Me Home' world tour.
The 'Live While We're Young' hitmakers are currently on the European leg of the mammoth 120-date tour, and while they have very little time on their hands, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik have been putting in extra hours to ensure the record is out by Christmas.

Confirming that they are busy working on their third album, Louis told the Daily Star: “We've already started recording the album, we started about a month ago.
“We've been writing and recording it while on tour. We are really happy with it. We don't want to rush it but it will be out for Christmas.”
According to the publication, the boys have set up portable recording studios in their hotel rooms as they travel across various cities and have even had creative input with the songwriting, working in pairs.
“We have the film coming out as well so we are all pretty shattered but we are all having a great time,” Louis added last week before 1D kicked off the European leg of their jaunt.
“We have had a week off this week before heading on to Europe for the tour.”

The One Direction hunk treated the Little Mix singer to a romantic evening enjoying the views of Paris from the vantage point of one of the world's most iconic landmarks.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "1D are performing out there this week so Zayn flew out early to spend a couple of precious days with Perrie.

"They wanted to mark their first year together and it means a lot that they've made it this far despite their hiccups."

The Little Mix girls were in Paris to perform an intimate gig at the VIP Rooms Theatre on Wednesday night, so Zayn whisked Perrie off to see the sights after the show and spend some rare quality time together.

Zayn, 20, was accused of cheating on Perrie, 19, earlier this year with bar worker Courtney Webb, but the couple appear to have put the rumours behind them.

Perrie recently insisted the 'Kiss You' heartthrob treats her better than any other boyfriend she's ever had and insisted the pair shared a special bond.

She gushed: "Zayn is so lovely. You know things are good when you can't wait to see the other person.
"It's a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he's fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him."
