The Real deal: One Direction

One Direction look set to pocket £70million from their 2014 stadium tour.
Tickets went on sale yesterday with demand so high extra dates were added within 30 minutes.
Chris Edmonds, chairman of Ticketmaster UK, said at one point 200,000 fans had been left waiting in a “virtual queue”.
He added: “If it had been a real one, it would have stretched from Wembley Stadium round the M25.”
An industry insider said Harry Styles and the rest of the boys were expected to make £14million each from ticket sales and merchandise from the Where We Are Tour.
He added: “And this doesn’t take into account album and DVD sales.
“It is going to be yet another very profitable year for One Direction.”
Band member Liam Payne tweeted to fans: “Thank you so much everyone for making our wildest dreams come true.”
