It looks like the mystery behind One Direction mania is set to be explained in the band's forthcoming 3D documentary movie, This Is Us.
The movie's director, Morgan Spurlock, explained that he worked with doctors to try and figure out "why" people are so obsessed with the Live While We're Young hitmakers.
Speaking to the New York Post newspaper, Spurlock said: ''We ask the question 'Why them?' We talked to this one doctor who tells us what happens inside a girl's body when she hears One Direction - like what happens in her brain and what goes on inside of her.''
One Direction's Louis Tomlinson recently confirmed that the band will release their third album before the end of 2013.
