Konnichi-1D! One Direction arrive in Tokyo wearing traditional Japanese kimonos

They were greeted by hundreds of excited fans - some even made GIANT signs - as they touched down in Japan for the first time.

They’re certainly racking up some air miles after returning from Africa just a few days ago - One Direction are already on the other side of the world.
The band arrived in Tokyo this morning and ditched their high-end fashion labels and trademark preppy style for Japanese traditional costumes – which was obviously a popular decision with hundreds of locals waiting for their arrival.
Embracing the kimonos, they bowed and laughed for the cameras. It feels like the phrase 'when in Rome' was invented for these pictures but this isn't Italy, duh.
And here's a useless fact for you, the Japanese writing on 1D's jackets spells out 'One Direction'. Clever stuff.
Fans turned up at Narita International Airport with signs and immeasurable levels of excitement at the thought of touching Harry Styles.

It’s the first time One Direction have visited Japan and they’ll mostly be doing promo for second album Take Me Home.

This is amazing
